Still studying Daniel 12 in my Quiet Time. I am so glad I feel better.
I got caught up in Dan 12:13 today...
“As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”
This is a promise to Daniel from the angel standing before him bringing a message from heaven. Basically, he this is saying that Daniel will die and then at Christ's return, he will resurrect and receive his award. Is this more than eternal life in heaven? It is speaking of a specific role he will hold in heaven. It seems as though it is talking about something unique to him with the use of "allotted", or it could be the general allotment of heaven that all Christ followers are promised. It doesn't really matter to me honestly, but knowing that we will be given different levels of responsibilities/jobs/roles in heaven, then I'm confident that Daniel will be in charge of something super special and he will do it with excellence!
